Evidence of Citizenship & Citizenship Certificate

An Australian citizenship certificate is an official document from Australian Government, which shows an individual is an Australian citizen.

Certificate of Citizenship

Typically you can apply to get a certificate or replace one that has been lost, destroyed or damaged. You can apply for proof of citizenship if you were born in Australia on or after 20 August 1986 and at least one of your parents was an Australian citizen or permanent resident when you were born. A permanent resident is what we call a non-citizen who holds a permanent visa to live in Australia.

There are a number of other scenarios where an Australian citizenship certificate can be applied for. Please contact us for more information, should you wish to obtain a proof of your Australian citizenship status.
