Website analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how this website is used and improve its content. Depending on your choices and the page you visit, Google may receive public page information, page engagement, public-link clicks, cookie-based visit identifiers, and browser and device information. Analytics uses cookies to distinguish visits.
For visits our hosting service identifies as Australian, analytics may start automatically unless you have turned it off. A short analytics disclosure and privacy settings are available in the website footer; you do not need to click or view them for Australian automatic analytics to start. For other visits, or where the location cannot be determined, analytics stays off until you choose to allow it. Location is estimated from the connection, so it may be inaccurate, for example when using a VPN.
Our website analytics excludes consultation, paid booking, contact, and form/input pages. The current setup also excludes page visits containing URL query parameters or fragments. Page and outbound-link information is limited to approved public values, with safeguards designed to avoid sending customer answers or personal details to Google. These safeguards do not mean that analytics is anonymous or that Google receives no technical information.
Your analytics choice
Use Privacy and analytics settings in the footer to turn Google Analytics on or off. Your choice is saved in this browser when browser storage is available. Automatic analytics stays off if choice storage is unavailable; in that situation, a manually selected preference may not be retained when you leave the page. An Allow choice is remembered for 90 days; a refusal is retained until you change it or clear the browser’s site data. Turning it off stops this website’s Google Analytics and removes its analytics cookies. A choice on one browser or device does not automatically apply to another. Your choice does not disable website hosting, booking services or embedded widgets.
Consultation guide and booking
The consultation guide calculates its suggested consultation type in this page’s memory. Your individual answers stay in the page’s memory and are not included in the booking link. The suggested appointment type is sent to Acuity when its booking calendar loads. Refreshing or choosing Start again clears the answers. When a result displays an Acuity booking calendar, that external service loads in the page. Completing the guide does not itself make an appointment.
Website service providers
We use Vercel to host this website, Google Analytics for website statistics, Acuity Scheduling (part of Squarespace) for appointment booking, and Elfsight for embedded website widgets. Hosting and embedded services can receive technical information such as your IP address, browser information and the page requested. Information you enter into the booking service is handled by that service and Ausdirect Migration. Embedded widgets may use their own cookies. These providers may process information outside Australia.
